Conestogo Pheasant Club
Welcome to Conestogo Pheasant Hunting
Pheasant hunting for Conestogo Pheasant Club (CPC) members begins on September 25th.
CPC Directors have installed signage for 20 parking spots at the entrance to Area 3 where members are allowed to hunt. Parking is not allowed anywhere else near the entrance, including the roadway leading to the entrance.
Rules for hunting the property are posted at the entrance to ensure every member is aware of their responsibilities. These rules are also listed on the Membership Info page of this website.
Additional information about hunting as a member of the CPC can be found on the News page.
The CPC is run by volunteers and will manage pheasant hunting on Area 3 under a license agreement with Grand River Conservation Authority for a three year pilot program. The CPC is an affiliate club of the OFAH and accordingly, all CPC members must also be OFAH members.
In its first year, the CPC quickly reached its limit of 80 memberships, and plans to expand to 100 members for the 2nd and 3rd years of this pilot program. For the first year, 1000 pheasants will be released during the hunting season from September 25, 2023 through to November 27, 2023. In 2023, hunting will only be allowed with the purchase of a season permit, but the CPC plans to examine the feasibility of daily passes in the remaining two years of the pilot program.
The CPC goal is to provide an accessible, high quality, and inclusive hunting experience to pheasant hunting enthusiasts in southern Ontario.
